About Homefield Farm Vets

Who are we?

Homefield Farm Vets are an experienced, affordable and trusted practice.

We are an independent veterinary practice, in the heart of Dorset, proudly dedicated to providing expert veterinary care to look after your animals and your farm business. We are a trusted team of experienced professionals, with a skilled support team led by founder and director Alice Miller. Together we bring a blend of traditional values and a modern mindset to everything we do. Alice has deep roots in Dorset having worked here since graduating from Bristol in 2009. She holds a master’s degree in Bovine Reproduction. Alice is also a Director for the British Cattle Veterinary Association (BCVA) and represents BCVA on the Red Tractor Dairy Sector Board, ensuring she stays at the forefront of industry standards and practises.

Why are we doing it?

We want to support the efficiency, growth, and longevity of livestock farms in Dorset.

We understand the demanding pressures on farmers and acknowledge the challenge of finding reliable, affordable, and personal veterinary care. That’s why we’re committed to offering a bespoke, proactive service that combines strong community ties with experienced advice to help drive and sustain production. In today’s challenging farming environment, we believe it’s more important than ever to offer high-quality, cost effective livestock health care to ensure the welfare of your animals and the future of your business.

How are we doing it?

We focus on what is best for farmers, their animals and their businesses.

As an independently owned vet practice we have the flexibility to tailor our approach to meet your expectations, ensuring a personal, family feel while providing expert advice and modern, proactive veterinary care. Our low overheads allow us to keep costs manageable, passing the savings directly to you. Our team understands the importance of navigating the complexities of modern farming, so we will listen to you and adapt our services to fit your unique farm needs.
