We're Hiring!

A rare job opportunity for an experienced farm animal vet

We are offering a unique opportunity to join an independent start-up, farm animal veterinary practice in the heart of Dorset. Due to immediate expansion, we are seeking an experienced farm animal vet to work with our enthusiastic, fun and motivated team!

We are in a dairy dense area and offer the opportunity to work with progressive cattle and sheep clients. We will support your own areas of interest and encourage further education and training. Unlike most positions, this one also offers the chance (if it interests you) to learn about business management and play a key role in developing the practice.

We are looking for someone who has a proactive style of vetting, is good at communicating with clients and the wider team and has the confidence to take the initiative, leading on projects and investigations. The work will include regular dairy fertility visits, pre-planned calls (including TB testing), on the day emergencies, as well as out-of-hours provision.

Our mission is to provide a great workplace, that supports professional development and retention of talented farm vets. Our package reflects this ethos, as we prioritise a happy and healthy, work-life balance.

The package:

Full-time (4 days) or part time

Competitive salary

Out of hours 1:4 rota

5.6 weeks holiday

5-day CPD allowance (£1,750)

RCVS, BCVA and VDS membership fees

Laptop and mobile phone

Mileage allowance or vehicle supplied if required

Your benefits:

Private health care scheme, including dental and optical
(option to add on partner +/- children)

Employee Assistance Programme

Birthday leave

Bonus scheme
